Saudi Kuwait Border Project

NZ Aerial Mapping Limited (NZAM) has been awarded the contract for the renewal of the 150 markers of the Partitioned Zone, its Dividing Line and the Boundary Line between The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and The State of Kuwait. The contract between NZ Aerial Mapping Limited and The Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represented by the Minister of Interior of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and The Government of the State of Kuwait represented by the Minister of Interior of State of Kuwait, was signed on 20th July 2010 in Jeddah.

Digital Aerial Photography for Al Baha & Bisha

NZ Aerial Mapping was awarded with a project to capture city of Al Baha & Bisha area which covers a land area of some 24,000 square kilometers at a GSD of 40cm.

The Al Baha site lies on the west coast of Saudi Arabia and is bounded by the Red Sea to the west and the Asir Mountains to the east.

Digital Aerial Photography for Jazan – Farasan & Sakaka

NZ Aerial Mapping was awarded with a project to capture city of Jizan, Farasan & Sakaka, which covers a land area of some 9,945 square kilometers at a GSD of 40cm.

Jazan and Farasan covers some 9,945 square kilometers whereas Sakaka covers 2,007 square kilometers in area.

The Jazan, Farasan & Sakaka sites are actually three distinct sites, Jazan itself, which lies on the west coast of Saudi Arabia and extends from the Red Sea coast to the Yemen border. This area poses a particular problem for aerial mapping as we must remain five (5) kilometers from the Yemen border at all times. Farasan are the islands off the west coast of Jazan and covers a group of island on the Red Sea.

PROJECT 150-1 – Aerial Imagery for Al Asemah Al Muqaddasah WalMashaer

The main objective of this project is to equip Ministry with acquisition of digital color Aerial Imagery, Airborne LiDAR survey, Oblique imagery, AT, Orthophotos production and terrestrial panoramic imagery for the Project Area namely city of Makkah.

The objective of flight planning is to design aerial photography coverage that meets the requirements for the intermediate and final project deliverables. Most importantly the flying height for aerial photography needs to take into consideration the terrain variation within a project area and the flying height for individual runs should be set relative to the lowest area of terrain within each run.

GCP Design and Pre-Signalisation, Aerial Photography, Aerial Triangulation, DEM Collection, and Orthophoto Maps for City of Riyadh

In 2015, NZAM has been awarded with an aerial survey project by General Commission of Survey for the project title “GCP Design and Pre-Signalisation, Aerial Photography, Aerial Triangulation, DEM Collection, and Orthophoto Maps for City of Riyadh” The purpose of this project is to equip GCS by acquiring digital aerial photography, the production of Digital Elevation Model by image correlation, and the production of orthophoto maps acquired by colour digital aerial photography at 18cm Ground Sample Distance (GSD) for GCS.

Acquisition of LiDAR data over Holy City of Makkah Al-Mukarramah

The main objective of this project was to equip client with acquisition of Airborne LiDAR data and digital color Aerial Imagery, for the holy city of Makkah Al Mukarramah, Saudi Arabia.
The objective of flight planning is to design aerial photography coverage that meets the requirements for the intermediate and final project deliverables. Most importantly the flying height for Airborne LiDAR needs to take into consideration the terrain variation within a project area and the flying height for individual runs should be set relative to the lowest area of terrain within each run.

Digital Aerial Survey for Madina and Tabuk Areas

The main objective of this project was to equip the client with high resolution digital aerial imagery for several parts of city of Madina and, notably the outskirts, which was divided into 6 different blocks. The Purpose of this project was to equip client with most current digital imagery which allows them to perform number of GIS related application which will help decision makers to make right and timely decision. Total area of interest (AOI) was 11,000 sq. km.

The main objective of this project is to equip the client with digital aerial imagery for several areas of Tabuk region, the AOI was scattered over the region therefore it has been divided into 5 different blocks. Two out of five blocks were fall near border which make this project complicated in terms of obtaining permissions and permits and revisions of flight plans and then shifting of GCPs on very short notice. However, despite these issues NZAM managed to complete the job as per specification and on time. Total area of interest (AOI) was 7,000 sq. km and imagery has been acquired on 18 cm GSD.
